Music

There are so many great ways to get involved with music at St. Peter’s!

St. Peter’s Choir

St. Peter’s Choir is for anyone who enjoys music and is eager to serve the congregation as worship leaders. The choir is open to all adults and High School students. No experience is necessary, only a desire to sing. The choir rehearses Wednesday evenings 5:30pm – 6:30pm. During the summer, there is no Wednesday evening rehearsals. Only short rehearsals before the service to prepare an easy anthem to sing during the service. Summer Choir is a great way to test the waters if you are interested in singing in services. For our current choir schedule, click the link below.

Singing in the choir is a great way to serve in worship by making a joyful noise! We hope you will consider becoming a member. Give us a try, Wednesday evenings 5:30pm , or Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall.

Currently, choir is not meeting due to COVID-19. We are meeting the last Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm on Zoom. We also do virtual choir projects that can be done by anyone from anywhere. For more information, please email Olivia Cheesman at olivia@splcmf.org.

Unbound

Unbound is the name of our modern worship band that plays “camp songs” in between first service and Sunday school at Coffee House. They also play at our church’s annual Fellowship Picnic. All are welcome! Contact Deborah Vanicek at dvanicek@gmail.com or Dusty Knight at doublehornbrewing@gmail.com for more information.

Currently, there is no Coffee House due to COVID-19. The band currently plays for offertory in worship once a month. For more information, contact Olivia Cheesman at olivia@splcmf.org.

Song Leading

During worship each week, we are in need of two people to lead the congregation in song! If you enjoy singing hymns and liturgy, this would be a great opportunity for you. All are welcome!

Song leading is still happening during the pandemic.

Voice Lessons

Voice lessons are offered for free by the Music Ministry Director. Currently, lessons will be offered for the remainder of the pandemic.  Post-pandemic, they will be offered each Summer. To sign up for a lesson, CLICK HERE.
