Worship

Worship is central to our life together at St. Peter’s. In worship, our unique and varied stories intersect with each other, but also with the story of God’s love for us and all creation. We gather amidst our joys, concerns, celebrations, and losses to receive what God has promised: faith, comfort, hope, purpose, and new life. We are sent from worship to embody and share what we have received.

Worship at St. Peter’s changes throughout the year to celebrate the diversity and creativity of God, but each week worship does follow an ancient 4-fold pattern of Christian worship.

GATHERING: The Holy Spirit calls us together as the people of God.
WORD: God speaks to us in scripture reading, preaching, and song.
MEAL: God feeds us with the presence of Jesus Christ.
SENDING: God blesses us and sends us in mission to the world.
