This year the Church Council is building on last year’s process of creating guiding goals for our congregation and committees. Over a weekend retreat we spent time in scripture, study, and prayer. Guided by the Holy Spirit we discerned the following values and goals that lead us to follow Christ more faithfully. We plan to make this a yearly process after the new council is elected by the congregation. Since we elected new members to the council at the annual meeting on January 21st, we feel the congregational year for our goals should run from March 1 to March 1.

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from the goals presentation to help you and us all know how we can together live out these goals in 2018.
What if I don’t see a certain goal on this list?
These goals are for 2018, so we expect them to change for next year. Be sure to share your input with a council member. CLICK HERE for a list of council members.
How will these goals actually be implemented and followed-up?
The council aimed for each goal to be as SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, & Time bound) as possible. The council and various committees will be taking the lead on each particular goal and evaluation will be ongoing until March of 2019. This input will also be shared as the council meets to evaluate new goals for the year.
I am excited about a certain goal. How can I help?
Contact a council member or a committee connected with that goal to share your gifts and passions.
